MATTERS are experts in solving the puzzle. By integrating artful, creative and innovative approaches with professional logic, we succeed in bringing together program, wishes from the users, function and building into a coherent and beautiful project.
We place great focus on the people involved and the core activities of a given program in the belief that architecture fundamentally provides a platform for human activity, and build meaningful relationships with place through architecture. Our projects are well researched, rigorous and sensitive to site and context and therefore our architecture has no prescribed language, but one that develops out of and resonates with the setting and program of each particular project. MATTERS architects make architecture that is playful, engaging and memorable. We believe architecture can help make people feel a strong belonging to a certain place. We aim for an original, timeless and durable architecture, and we welcome the unknown factors that often result in innovative and positive solutions. MATTERS has received prizes in both international and national architectural competitions and in 2016 received Dreyers Fond for newly established architectural companies. MATTERS was founded by architects Lotte Rønne and Marie-Louise Holst, who both graduated in 2003 from Aarhus Scool of Architecture. MATTERS architects was founded in 2014. TEAM: The at MATTERS team consist of dedicated and skilled architects and designers from both Denmark and overseas. Furthermore we often collaborate closely with both constructing architects, 3D wizards and ingeneers. |
